Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Sears Holdings Corp. announced plans to open a new distribution center in Jacksonville, Fla., according to MSN.com. The 811,672-sq.-ft. facility will employ 75 workers; and will deliver home appliances, televisions and additional large items to local warehouses for 112 Sears and Kmart stores throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Sears operates approximately 3,850 stores in North America.
