Borders Launches E-Commerce Site

Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Borders Group Inc. announced the launch of its e-commerce site, Borders.com, according to FreeP.com. The new site will include coupon redemption, incentives for online purchases, celebrity and author interviews, book clubs, used books, cooking shows, a life coach and in-store kiosks for customers. Last year, the company announced plans to break its partnership with Amazon.com, which had been managing its online sales since 2001. Borders operates more than 1,000 stores in 50 states, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and Singapore.
