Target Launches Sami Hayek Collection

Minneapolis-based Target Corp. announced the launch of Sami Hayek for Target. According to the company, the collection will be geared towards students and will feature bedding, furniture, decor accessories and stationary--all using minimal packaging that can be recycled. The Hollywood, Calif.-based Sami Hayek Studio is a multidisciplinary design firm that began in 2003. "For me, design is about translating objects into stories and experiences," said Sami Hayek. "My new collection for Target reflects my core design beliefs, which include structure, humor and a commitment to sustainable design." Target operates 1,613 stores in 47 states.
