Walgreens Acquires CuraScript Infusion Pharmacy

Deerfield, Ill.-based Walgreen Co. has completed its acquisition of Louisville, Ky.-based CuraScript Infusion Pharmacy Inc., which has provided infusion services in the United States for almost 17 years. Walgreens acquired all 12 CuraScript stores, which are located in Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. CuraScript is a subsidiary of St. Louis-based Express Scripts Inc., which will retain ownership of CuraScript Specialty Pharmacy and CuraScript Specialty Distribution.
