GameStop to Acquire New Zealand's Gamesman Chain

Grapevine, Texas-based GameStop Corp., a video game and entertainment software retailer operating under the GameStop and EB Games brands, has entered into an agreement to purchase Auckland, New Zealand-based The Gamesman. GameStop's acquisition of the eight Gamesman locations will increase its presence in New Zealand to 38 stores. The transaction is expected to close near the middle of July 2008.
