American Eagle Outfitters President to Leave Company

Pittsburgh-based American Eagle Outfitters Inc. announced Thursday that Susan P. McGalla, president and chief merchandising officer, will not renew her contract, which expires Jan. 31, 2009. The retailer's CEO, Jim O'Donnell, will assume her responsibilities as president, and American Eagle will conduct a search for a new chief merchandising officer. In her remaining time with the company, McGalla will work on building Martin + Osa, 77kids and other special projects.
